Protect Our Police PAC Announces 2020 Endorsed Candidates; Announces $250k+ Candidate Fund

PAC founded by retired Philadelphia Police endorses pro-law & order leaders in nationwide races from City Council up to Governor

(Philadelphia, PA) -- Today, Protect Our Police PAC announced it’s first-ever slate of endorsed candidates ahead of the November 3rd election. POP PAC is endorsing more than 40 candidates nationwide running for public office in the upcoming election for positions including Governor, State Representative, Senate Senator, Attorney General, District Attorney, Judge and municipal positions.

POP PAC received more than 80 applications from candidates running across the country, and the organization underwent a painstaking process to vet each applicant for support with an eye toward supporting candidates running strong campaigns who are also in line with the mission of POP PAC.

Candidates who have received POP PAC’s endorsement will have opportunities for additional support from POP PAC, including financial backing, access to POP PAC’s network of supporters and more. POP PAC’s candidate fund will spend upwards of $250,000 in direct contributions, paid communications and independent expenditures this year.

Nick Gerace, President of POP PAC, released the following statement:

“Police officers across the country are being physically attacked during violent riots, unfairly vilified by the media, and sold out by spineless politicians who are voting to defund departments. I founded Protect Our Police PAC to elect leaders who will always back the blue and support policies that keep all of us safe like fully and adequately funding police departments and prosecuting violent criminals to the fullest extent of the law. I could not be prouder of the slate of pro-police and pro-law and order candidates we are supporting this year for public office in state and local races across America.”

Founded just over 2 months ago in July 2020, Protect Our Police PAC has raised nearly $1M. POP PAC is committed to investing significant, game-changing financial resources behind candidates that back the blue.
